Caravaggio Bonetto is an avatar artist in Second Life. In May 2007 she has founded together with Velazquez Bonetto and Josina Burgess the Virtual Art Space Diabolus on the Benvolio Sim in Second Life.

The real person
Caravaggio Bonetto is an artist in real life as well. She uses the artist name Naomi Devil, which is a translation of her original Hungarian name. She was born in 1987 in Budapest. She was only 17 when she was admitted at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in 2004. Her professors were Adi Rosenblum and Markus Muntean (2004-2005), Elke Krystufek (2005-2006) and Hans Scheirl (2006-2008). She has attended the courses of the professors Caroline Broadhead, Rivka Rinn and Andrea Fogli at the Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg. She has paralelly been studying architecture at the Technical University in Vienna since 2006. She is a member of the Köszeg Art Association and a founding member of the Gallery Diabolus. She has partecipated in the work of several on-line art-communities, such as Deviant Art, Warmtoastcafé etc. She has had several solo- and group-exhibitions. Her paintings were shown for example in the Gallery Exner in Vienna and in the Hungarian Cultural Center in Prag. She has a colourful figurative style. She is an acute observer and an outright artist who is not shy to talk about controversial social phenomena.
Caravaggio Bonetto's activity in Second Life
She began her activity in Second Life with shows of her real life paintings but she adapted them very soon to Second Life by building moving installations based on her real life works (100 Years of Demoiselles d`Avignon, Sarecrew Performance). She began developing her scripting skills in connection with the Carp I-IV projects that were launched by the Virtual Art Space Diabolus and her latest works are scripted immersive installations.
